The ‘Information Field’

The ‘Information Field’

This is a nice story on the meaning of Self Realisation. The conversation was about the higher state of awareness experienced by someone before starting Sahaja Yoga Meditation.

Here is the story:

On a bus in Italy, a Sahaja Yogi met with a lady who has been practicing Sahaja Yoga meditation for the last nine years. She said that before practicing Sahaja Yoga, she was still a very innocent university student.  She used to feel the Kundalini’s cool inside her and used to put her attention on Sahasrara.

Her philosophy professor used to tell her, “when did you have the time to read all the books that I already read… so you are able to say what is truth and what is false…?!!” And our young enlightened student used to reply spontaneously, “it is easy to find answers. You just have to put your attention above our head, on the ‘information field’ (it was the name she used as she didn’t know anything about Sahasrara chakra of the Subtle System)”. And then she advised him to change the philosophy book. She told him about many falsehood inside this book that he was using to teach his students; and he replied that somehow, he felt inside that he should change it…

And this professor also asked her, “why are your eyes so clear”, and again wondering what to say, after putting her attention on the “information field”, her reply was, “this is because your are seeing this ‘information field’ as well!”

Notes: Connecting to this “information field” is the aim of Yoga and Religion. The origin of the word religion comes from the Latin religare (re: back, and ligare: to bind) and Yoga means “union”.

In Sahaja Yoga, this connection is described as Self Realisation received through the spontaneous awakening of the Kundalini.
