The Victorian and South Australian collectives are looking forward once again to welcoming yogis from around Australia and beyond to celebrate National Diwali Puja at HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Centre Hiawatha from Friday 9th November to Sunday 11th November.
We will perform Puja on Saturday evening to enable as many interstate yogis as possible to attend with an entertainment program on Friday evening and a Havan on Saturday morning.
Please confirm your attendance as early as possible by filling in the registration form (click here) to assist us with arranging and preparing accommodation and catering for the Puja weekend.
Costs
Vic Adults: $100.00
Interstate Adults: $90.00
Students: $50.00
Children 12 – 17yrs: $30.00
Children under 12yrs: free
Family with children: maximum $250.00
Accommodation
There is dormitory style sleeping on bunk beds and mattresses in the lodge or pendal and camping is also available.
Please bring a sleeping bag, bedsheet and pillow case, warm clothing and sensible footwear as it can get cold at night and Hiawatha is very rural!
We look forward to hosting lots of our brothers and sisters and sharing a wonderful weekend together.
Transport
There are regular Sky buses from Melbourne airport to the city centre and other suburbs from where we can arrange lifts to Hiawatha.
If you require transport from Melbourne to Hiawatha, please tick the corresponding boxes in the registration form.
We would suggest our interstate guests either drive to Hiawatha, or (if they are coming by plane) hire a car at Melbourne airport for the period of their stay, or jointly hire a mini van if several families are travelling together from interstate. Directions for driving to Hiawatha are as follows:
If you are driving from Melbourne, enter in your GPS: Welshpool, Victoria. This is the nearest township to Hiawatha. Once you are in Welshpool, you can feed in the GPS: 904 Albert River Rd, Hiawatha.
If you are driving from Bairnsdale/Sale, enter in your GPS: Yarram, Victoria. Once you are in Yarram, you can feed in the GPS: 904 Albert River Rd, Hiawatha.
Other Information
We have cattle, sheep and lambs on the property so to prevent them from escaping onto the road, please close the gate after you when you enter the property. If you encounter any animals on the driveway, drive very slowly and they will move out of your way. Please don’t toot your horn as this will frighten them.
